appointment_1From Monday 26th June the current 'book on the day' system will change.

The GP's have listened to patient feedback and have decided that routine appointments will no longer be booked on the same day They understand that it isn't always easy to ring at 08:00 am or 11:00 am to book a routine appointment for the same day, so all routine appointments will be available to book in advance and you can contact the surgery at any time of the day to book a routine appointment.

There will still be a GP available every day for patients who require urgent care.

The extended hours appointments remain unchanged, and can be booked the same way as above:

Tuesday evening - 6:30pm - 8pm

Wednesday morning - 7am - 8am

Thursday morning - 7am - 8am

Thursday evening 6:30pm - 7:30pm

You can make an appointment by telephone or in person at reception but please bear in mind that the telephone lines can be extremely busy during the early part of the morning.

You can also register to book a doctors appointment on line, please enquire at reception with some form of ID i.e, drivers licence, passport, utility bill etc,  who will be able to issue your unique password. Once you have this, you can click on the link below to book your appointment online.

If you feel that your medical problem is urgent, you will be offered the first available appointment in the On-Call surgery. The doctor will see you for that problem only.  If you have other, non-urgent matters to discuss, please book an additional, routine appointment with your usual doctor. Only using this service for urgent problems will ensure that it runs efficiently and remains available to those in need of it.

While they will do their best to accommodate you with what resources they have been given, please don’t expect our receptionists always to be able to offer you a time that, while perhaps ideal for you, is a time that they simply do not have a doctor available.  If your need is genuinely urgent, we would expect that getting medical attention will be your priority rather than finding an appointment that fits around work, school or other engagements.

If you need an urgent appointment we cannot guarantee the doctor of your choice. Should you require an appointment for a follow up of a problem please always try to see the same doctor to ensure continuity of care.

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with our Nurse Practitioner Sue Sharp, who will be joining the Surgery on 10th July 2017. She will support the on-call GP and can prescribe treatment where necessary. For more information, please visit the 'staff' page.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. A text reminder service is available, please inform reception if you do not wish to be included.
